Registration/Season FAQ's
Q: When does practice start?
A: Practice is scheduled to start July 13th, 2026 at Margaret Polf Park.
The practice schedule will be as follows:
Before school starts, practice will be Mon-Thurs 6pm-8:30pm
After school starts, practice will be Tues-Thurs 6pm-8pm
Q: Who is eligible to play?
A: Anyone ages 6-14 (up to incoming 8th graders). The players age as of Aug 1st will determine their division.
Q: What is covered under the registration fee? Will I need to purchase anything else?A: For football, the registration fee covers equipment rental which includes pads, helmet, game uniform, game socks, and practice uniform. You will need to purchase your own cleats. Basic mouth guards are provided, but some players like to purchase their own.
Q. What if I need a sponsor for my player?A. We have sponsor forms available under the registration info tab. If you need to register a sponsored player, please email us at
[email protected] for assistance.
Q: What is the schedule for games? A: Games are on Saturday (May have 1 or 2 Sunday games based on field availability) and will start in the end of August. We usually have 8 games that run consecutively. As soon as the game schedule is available, we will share that with everyone. Game times vary by age. 8U@10AM, 10U@12PM, 12U@2PM, and 14U@4PM.
Q: What forms do I need to provide?
A:
Certification requirements for participants are as follows::Certify for one team only in the same calendar year once a player receives 2 certification stamps. They are certified in the team for that year and may not transfer. Exception, an actual move of residency out of the school district.
Current league player card (typed) W/ Photo digitally inserted.
Signed legal guardians consent
Medical clearance to participate (dated after Apr, 1st of current year)
SYF Code of conduct form signed by all participants and legal guardians
School enrollment form required for all 12u and above, or previous SYF player card.
SYF Waiver and release signed by all participants and legal guardians
CIF Concussion Information Sheet & Opioid Factsheet form signed by all participants and legal guardians
Current Cueta form signed by all participants and legal guardians
Proof of Age
All can use the current school enrollment form. This is required on school letterhead and must include a school stamp and signature.
Parent Portal information sheet would be valid as long as the following is included; current address and Date of birth.
Birth certificate
copy of valid passport
Sports Physical: dated after April 1st
*Documents will be collected at first practice. Your player cannot participate until a physical is on file.
Q: Do you offer a payment plan?
A: Yes, you can select a payment plan at check out.
Q: Do you travel for games?
A: Yes, we travel to away games. The farthest location we typically travel is about a 2 hour drive from Shasta Lake.
Q: Where can I find the official rule book?
